Reality is a Dream / A Dream is Reality

A walking simulator made in Unreal Engine, exploring themes of isolation, abstraction, and dreamlike surrealism.

The game follows a protagonist inspired by abstract humanoid sculptures, designed and rigged in Maya using Human IK for seamless integration with Unreal Engine. The looping, surreal environment combines oversized office objects with natural elements, blending self-made assets and outsouced CGI elements.

I experimented with Unreal Engine’s Blueprint system for mechanics like teleportation, respawn triggers, and particle emitters. Custom particle systems, including fireflies and rain, were paired with advanced lighting techniques and post-processing to create a distinct atmosphere.

This project served as both a technical learning exercise and a creative outlet.
